Investing to create a successful future

Claire and Lisa Travel the GlobeTravel the Globe started up with AMS in August 2013. Since then have been off to a flying start and business figures have been strong. Claire and Lisa owners of Travel the Globe in Cumbria previously worked for Thomas Cook as managers. In 2013, when made redundant, they took this opportunity to take their future into the own hands they felt that investing in their next career move was the right thing to do.

Claire and Lisa were of aware of Advantage and the Advantage Managed Services Scheme and realised that the set up was straightforward. All the information they needed was online and then in contact with a consultant at Advantage, they found everything they needed or had queries on was there for them and were confident that AMS was the right choice for them.

Some of the most valuable benefits that they find being part of AMS is that the back office administration is taken care for them, they receive excellent commercial benefits and they are able to keep their own identity. Keeping their own identity means they can keep their own name, be their own boss and receive top service from being part of AMS.

Travel the Globe is located in a high-end furniture store that has been around for the past 120 years. They are based right next to the restaurant and many customers tend to pop over browsing so they get a lot of footfall.  Majority of their customers are repeat customers and keep returning for the customer service that isn’t often found anywhere else. Travel the Globe pride themselves on the detail that they offer their customers and even pay special attention to the detail like providing customers with luggage tags and ticket wallets that they can’t get anywhere else.

To keep the community aware of them, they keep active on Facebook and have currently over 80 customers’ reviews on the site and they work with lots of local suppliers to build new and retain current relationships. They promote themselves as Cumbria’s community travel agent. Keeping strong partnerships in the community really helps their business and customers relate to them as they have them in the forefront of their minds.

Travel the Globe is shortlisted as Top Travel Agency in the North West by TTP top 50. Awards are on 25 April 2016.
